Welcome Note
St Paul is a community where one becomes an
empowered, confident, independent thinker, thriving in a
bilingual atmosphere of respect, integrity, acceptance and
continuous learning. Through positive role-modeling, we inspire
our children to make wise choices and encourage them to succeed
both socially and academically.
Over the past years, the population of St. Paul
students has averaged around 360 students. Our staff is
comprised of full-time personnel, as well as support staff.
There is a library, a computer lab, and a gymnasium. We offer a
very involved day-care service that also includes a lunch
program.
Our academic program is French Immersion; which includes some
English instruction beginning in Kindergarten. The Quebec
Education Program curriculum is prescribed by the Ministry of
Education. Children receive 120 minutes of physical education
each week, which includes a health and well being component to
the instruction. Students also receive 120 minutes of “The Arts”
each week, broken down into a music program and a visual arts
program.
The school schedule is organized on a Monday to Friday basis.
Cycle 2 and 3 students see their French and English teacher each
day. Maternelle and Cycle 1 students have one main teacher for
academics and will see the music and gym teacher during the
week.
